March Meetup – Cancelled or Rescheduled?

February 4, 2009 by admin

I just got some disappointing news about our SEO Meetup scheduled for March. The library is holding their book sale that week, and the room is not available. We are currently seeking other options. If you happen to know of a room that would hold a crowd of about fifty people, please do let us know. People from surrounding towns, if you could check your local public library to see if they have a community room that would be available, that would be great too. As I understand, local residents only can book a library room. Two smaller rooms would work as well. Please let us know if you have any suggestions or have a room.

  1. Summer Shack has an excellent meeting space in the back that holds up to 50 people. They can put in slider windows to block the noise of the restaurant.

The space is free and they will assign some wait staff to take orders.

They also have a screen that drops down from the ceiling.

    Those are the positives.

The negatives is that they don’t offer WiFi and they don’t own a projector to use for the screen.

You may also consider using Babson College. I can provide a contact in their student organizations who can reserve a room for free. It’s in Wellesley (not exactly Cambridge any more), but it’s free, high quality, has projectors, and can accommodate about 200. Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll make the connection.
