SEO Manager – Cambridge, MA

The SEO Manager will be responsible for day to day management of all on-site and off-site factors of the SEO program including site optimization, link development, cross-functional collaboration, analysis and reporting. Candidate must be willing to share case studies and results from past efforts including internal site changes that led to improved rank and higher sales, link building programs that resulted in quality backlinks, and KPI’s used to measure the success of an SEO program.


  • Have a thorough knowledge of search ranking factors and critical updates
  • Familiar with industry-standard bid management and SEO software
  • Have personally built and optimized a $10k+ per month pay-per-click account that met or exceeded specific business rules (such as CPA goals)
  • Have managed a team of content writers, link builders, and social media marketers
  • Comfortable working with API’s, advanced and integrated reporting


  • Day-to-day management of paid and natural search engine marketing campaigns
  • Oversight and management of onsite and offsite SEO resources
  • Research and strategic planning for paid and natural search campaigns
  • Staying abreast of (and sharing) changes in search engine signals and market share
  • Improving and enhancing boilerplate project lifecycles based on signal changes
  • Several solid years of SEO experience, principles and optimization variables
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics & Webmaster Tools
  • Experience with Advanced SEO guideline, tracking/reporting tools, algorithms, analysis and ranking factors
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Managed local campaigns in targeted markets
  • Experience in link building campaigns and the ability to interpret data
  • Basic web content/design knowledge and how they relate to SEO functions
  • Strong skills in development and the ability to convey knowledge to clients
  • Bachelors in Marketing or Computer Science is highly desired
  • Very strong communication and organizational skills in a fast paced environment

  • Implementation of approved deliverables
  • Manage and develop SEO Analysts on techniques and strategies
  • Work closely with out copywriters
