Search Engine Marketing Associate (Boston)

Based in Boston, Massachusetts, Verndale is an Internet Strategy, Development, Support, and Hosting firm helping emerging and mid-size businesses in a broad range of industries strategize, build, and manage their Internet assets.
The Search Engine Marketing Associate will be responsible for meeting and exceeding Verndale’s client’s objectives to increase qualified site traffic by tracking, evaluating and implementing web based sales, promotion and customer service strategies. This position will work closely with the Director of Search Engine Marketing and will quickly gain exceptional knowledge of website technologies, Natural Search Optimization techniques, and pay-per-click campaigns.

Responsibilities
1. Analyze and implement search engine metrics to communicate and increase success of client programs.
2. Diagnose issues on client and prospects sites and prescribe Search Engine Marketing solutions to meet the client’s stated objectives.
3. Provides information to Director of Search Engine Marketing by collecting, analyzing and summarizing web metrics and analytics.
4. Establishes web strategy by researching, analyzing and defining customer requirements.
5. Analyze and create ways to increase traffic to customer sites.
6. Protect organizations value by keeping marketing information confidential.
7. Use Online Community Optimization to drive qualified traffic and make it convert to client’s sites.

Qualifications
1. 1 – 2 years Search Engine Marketing experience.
2. Must possess analytical thinking skills; a sense of entrepreneurship is a plus.
3. Strong knowledge of Web site development techniques, SEO tools and site analytics principles.
4. High competency level in Excel.
5. Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
6. Strict attention to detail absolutely required.
7. Familiarity with social bookmarking sites i.e.) dig.com, del.icio.us, stumbleupon.com
